Amy and Lisa
The concert is being produced by the Amy and Lisa Fund. The Fund was established with donations from hundreds of people who read about the family's situation and wanted to help them get back on their feet. The first concert was held in 1999 and helped fund the first year of the Amy Fedel Memorial Reading Program as well as generating donations for MADD. Over the last 6 years, the events have raised over $1,000 each to MADD and the Michigan Brain Injury Association.
Amy Fedel was 8 years old when the family's van was hit by a drunk driver in the summer of 1998. She
died of massive head injuries. Her sister Lisa suffered a closed-head injury and was in a coma for two
weeks. She has made a wonderful recovery. She is in sixth grade now and learning to play the flute. More
information on the family can be found at http://www.fedel.com/amyandlisa.
Sponsors and Involvement
We always welcome volunteers for a variety of tasks the night of the show, primarily for setup before and
cleanup after. Volunteers can contact Mike Fedel at [phone and link removed for SPAM]
The concert itself is being produced by the Amy and Lisa Fund. Anyone interested in helping offset the
costs is welcome to contact Mike Fedel.
