A CD in memory of
Amy Elizabeth Eridon Fedel

The vision of this project was to record 13 of Amy's favorite bedtime songs. We had (and still have) the family tradition of singing songs at bedtime. Each of the two girls would pick one song, then dad would play whatever new ones he was learning or writing at the time. The thirteen songs that were chosen for this CD were songs that became the "core group" of songs the girls would choose night after night.

This CD was recorded during August, 1999 in tribute to Amy. A dozen of Amy's friends (listed below) were invited into the studio. We set it up as a 'sleepover'. Several kids wore their pajamas, and some brought blankets and stuffed animals.

The performances are all very basic: one guitar and voices. The kids sing on the first four songs. One or two voices guest on the next two, then it's just dad and his guitar for the rest of the CD.

The title of the project is "I Miss Your Smile", which is also the title of one of the songs on the CD. The song was written by Robin Sturgeon, bass player for the Hali Hammer band. Dad was part of the band and Amy often came to practices and shows. She loved the song and we often included it in our bedtimes stories (especially the "Walking in the Woods" stories).

There are several spoken sections on the CD as well, chats with the kids before and between songs. Everything was done in one take - congratulations to the kids!

The CD comes with a 16 page booklet containing pictures of Amy and her friends.
